People trying to make a change report they’ve made more progress when looking at themselves from a third-person perspective, finds a study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. The reason? It’s easier to be objective and recognize how far you’ve come when viewing yourself as an outside observer would, thus motivating you to keep plugging away at your goal. -HCC
