Never Say Never (2)

Never Stop Learning

It’s important to continuously seek information and learn new skills.  It makes you feel good about yourself because you gain competence in a new area.  And it keeps you interesting.  You never run out of conversation when you’re constantly learning.

Put it to work Don’t think you have to take a class to learn.  Go to the library and read about something that interests you.  Listen to an author at your local bookstore.  For hands-on education, try something you’ve never done:  You’ll be learning as you do it.

Never Ignore Your Gut

Call it a feeling, call it internal radar.  Whatever name you give it.  Gut reactions are one of your most powerful tools for making decisions.  Intuition is problem solving at the preconscious level.  It’s based on the data were constantly taking in.  you know that inquisitive neighbor who seems toxic? Use that feeling to keep your distance.

Put it to work  Since your intuition always has a message, you must ask:  What is my gut telling me?  For example, am I hesitating about that job offer that will involve a two-hour commute because it’ll wreak havoc on my family?  Look at the message from your intuition and the reality of the situation before you make a plan.

Never Complaint About Your Husband to Your Mother-In-Law.

This is a big no-no, even if you two are best buddies.  Women complain to their mother-in-law because they think this is the one woman on earth who has insight into this guy.  Maybe she can talk sense into him.  The mother will want what’s best for her son, and it’s not fair to put her in the middle.

Put it to work  If your complaints are minor, share them with a girl-friend.  Chances are she can give you good advice or at least sympathy.
