I’ve been in some pretty dark places in my life, dear God.  You above all, know how frightening that can be.  I remember as a child, being afraid at night when the lights went out.  And I remember as a n adult, being afraid when the lights in my soul dimmed.  I lost hope and courage and faith.  But you rescued me from that pit by your grace and the promise in your Word that you would turn my darkness into light and my night into day.  how you love me, o Lord.  And how I love you!

Money creates a false sense of independence (2 of 2)

On the other hand, some people blame money for all the ills in society. There are others who even consider it an evil. Just as possessing money brings arrogance, rejecting it too makes one arrogant. Some people who renounce money take pride in their poverty to draw attention and sympathy.

However, ancient sages honored money or maya as a part of the divine and transcended the grip of its illusion. They knew that when we reject or hate something, we can never transcend it.

They honored wealth as Goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Narayana. She is born out of yoga. It is yoga that transforms the bad karma and brings out latent skills and talents. It also brings up ashtasiddhis, the eight perfections and nav nidhis, the nine wealth.

Yoga helps one move from arrogance to self-confidence, meekness to humility, dependence to interdependence, from craving for freedom to the recognition of unboundedness and from a limited ownership to oneness with the whole.

\When people lack faith in the Divine or in their own abilities or in the goodness of society they suffer from a deep sense of insecurity. As a result all that appears to provide security is money. They rely on something that is not certain, and end up getting upset. Uncertainty causes craving for stability.

The world is of change; the Self is of non-change. We have to rely on the non-change and accept the change. This is like perceiving the real as unreal and unreal as real. In fact, all miseries are unreal. A wise man knows that happiness is real, as it is our very nature. Unhappiness is unreal because it is inflicted by memory. When we see everything as a dream, then we abide in our true nature — love, joy and peace. We then understand that money is not all-important. Values, sense of belonging, love and care are more important. – The Times of India

Open your mind to change

Good morning friends.  Sometimes our mind we have fixed decision.  We don’t know what will be the result of that.  But sometimes also even we know what will be the consequence we still do what we want.  In our life, we should open our mind to change.  Even if we don’t like that, the important is that it will be good in the end.

Being spiritual to me is being happy; happiness comes when you accept what you have in life.

We need to be content to be happy. And one can’t be content by expecting too much from life; it’s a cycle, so it’s better to accept what life offers. I ask God for a healthy life and that is the most important.

If one has good health, then wealth is bound to follow because a healthy mind and body, I believe, keeps one spirituality fit. One does not overtly have to display religious beliefs to be spiritual. It lies in nature, people and everything around us. Say, wearing a T-shirt with God’s images or sporting amulets and talismans doesn’t make one spiritual.

These are outer layers of a being, which have no connection to one’s spirituality. God resides in what lies beneath the skin. There is always a supreme force guiding us and I believe in it.

Everyone in this world has a mission or a purpose in life, and it’s never too late to fulfill it.

There’s a thin thread that binds spirituality and God and that is ‘faith’ — faith that things will turn good and better in the end. Spirituality is in learning new things; it’s all about opening your mind, getting ready for change and discovering the world. Education makes us feel all learned, but what we don’t know might actually be bigger than the sum total of what we’ve been taught all our lives.

For me, spirituality is the quest to know the unknown. I thank God for everything. I find beauty in all His creations and see everything in a positive way. I’ve always looked at the glass as half full and not half empty — maybe that’s what has been the driving force in my life.  – The Times of India

Faith makes us human

Good morning friends.  Every time I heard the word faith it reminds me of something.  I know there are people whose faith were so little.  They are so materialistic.  They dong believe in God’s word and work.  But with others, faith is the best thing to do as human.  We have to have faith even not only to God.  We should have faith in all what we are going to do.  Faith really makes us human.  I read one article of which was written by one of my favorite writer. Chetan Bhagat.  It’s a good one.  I want you to know it.

It is our belief in God that makes us human, says Chetan Bhagat.

There are some questions that I don’t have answers to. Like, why does faith help? Or, why do we have faith? But I realize that it’s very important to strike the right balance between science and spirituality. If you become too scientific, too analytical and insist that everything has a reason, then you probably are trying to be all-knowing and all-powerful, which you as a mortal being cannot be.The Times of India

Anything can happen anytime. Life is uncertain, relationships are uncertain, success is uncertain and so is health. Our belief in God is an acknowledgement to that sense of vulnerability. It makes us more human. I would like to pray more but I don’t get the time.

Our faith should not make us dogmatic or agnostic. Instead, it should channelize positive energy so that society benefits from it. Faith should comfort people, not antagonize them. God does not decide things for us on a day-to-day basis. He has given us a mind that can reason and an ability to think for ourselves.

This is what makes us superior to other living beings. Even if there is destiny, there is also a lot of free will. God has His place, an individual his. Hence the need to strike a balance between science and spirituality is all the more important. – The Times of India

Focus and Singleness of Mind – 3

Good afternoon to everyone!  Let me finished my last part of my this article.  And I hope that you learned a lot in focusing your mind and singleness of your mind.  I also hope that you will apply it to your daily life.

But let him ask in faith without any doubting for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Ultimately, focus means keeping the eyes of our  heat fixed on Jesus the Messiah Who is the perfect image of God.  If my strategic goal in life is to be like Him, He will keep me in face in daily business.  Faith focused on God has the power so transform setbacks and failures into improvements in our walk with Him.  This is because He has promised never to forsake us or test us beyond our ability to stand.  The Lord is the One who gives us our first little bit of faith, and it is He who nurtures it to maturity.  One time I met a businessman who was acting as a start-up company’s chief executive, but when I looked at his business card there was no title.  I asked him about it and he whispered to me, “Actually, I’M an angel!”  I learned that “angels” in the venture-capital community are investors who give a new company seed money before anyone else is ready to invest.  Sometimes these “angels” also stay around and help manage the start-up.  It struck me that God is like that.  He invests in us before anyone can see eternal value in our lives.  Then He says close by to make sure we reach the fruit-bearing stage.

Focus and Singleness of Mind – 2

Good morning everyone!  Are you still enjoying my this article?  This is important in our day to day life.  You will have a positive thinking while reading my artile.  I hope you will come along with me all the way……..

It is important to develop endurance and persistence.  Go back to the same sources again and again as long as they continue to yield, like Isaac who redug the wells of his father Abraham.  Do not lose interest or give up too soon and do not expect to be successful immediately.  It is extremely rare to produce anything really good on the first try.  Learn to achieve an initial, acceptable level of success and then work to improve it incrementally for a long time.  This will test your dedication and powers of concentration, but the end result is excellence.  Toyota Corporation introduced their first small sedan call the Corolla in the 1960s.  At the time it was not considered  very desirable car compared to the Volkswagen “Beetle”, but over the years, Toyota improved the lowly Corolla and built it into the best selling automobile in history.  Microsoft Corporation introduced their Windows operating system in 1985.  At that time it was far behind Apple’s Macintosh system, but today, after countless revisions and many new releases, Windows is used by the great majority of personal computer users.

Focus is being single-minded about the task God has placed at hand.  Single-mindedness, however, does not need to imply extreme rigidity.  For the human eye to focus on a moving object, it must adjust itself continually.  A wrestler uses the flexibility of his muscles to lock himself around his opponent and win the match.  Being double-minded means allowing uncertainty about your goal to break your concentration.  Our goals are established by God in us through prayer and His Word.  We exercise faith to achieve those God-given goals.
